We are absolutely delighted to offer this unique one off Douglas Fir & flame painted copper maple leaf wall art, which is extremely eye catching and would look stunning in any home setting
The plinth has been made from seasoned Douglas Fir - carving & sculpting followed by applying the old Japanese Yakisugi process of wood burning which further raises the grain & results in more delightful colours
The pure copper maple leaf has been made in our own design and coppersmithed into shape – followed by the unique process of flame-painting. As you can see from the photos the most amazing colours are brought to the surface & placed directionally. This is our own retro version of an autumnal maple leaf
A copper hanger has been soldered onto the back of the leaf along with a barley twist copper stalk, and finished with a clear protective coating
Attached to the back of the wooden plinth is a small hanging plate, and we provide a 6mm rawl plug along with an appropriate screw for hanging
This display plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish
This listing shows the actual items that you will receive as this piece of wall art is truly a one-off
For the after-care of this plinth we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth.
