YAKISUGI OAK 'BARREL LID STYLE' DISPLAY PLINTH WITH MINIATURE BOTTLE HOLDER DECORATIVE COPPER STILL

Created as an attractive set this Yakisugi whisky 'barrel lid style' display plinth and copper decorative still with a copper coil bottle holder is perfect for displaying your favourite miniature bottles of alcohol eg. Whisky, Gin, Baileys, Vodka, Bacardi etc. or indeed purchase as the perfect gift for a friend or loved one

This lid's appearance is loosely based on the traditional burning of the insides of oak barrels

We have created this unique decorative oak 'barrel lid style' display plinth from sustainable kiln-dried quality Scottish oak. Lines/grooves have been burned into the surface of the wood depicting individual slats followed by applying the traditional ancient Japanese Yakisugi burning method throughout the surface giving it a comfortable authentic look. The colour on the wood has been achieved by burning only and no additional colours have been applied - then sanded to a very fine grade and when finishing products have been applied, has made the lid very tactile

This miniature decorative still with its bottle holder & base are all made from 99.9% copper & finished off with a protective clear lacquer. The copper coil is 39mm in diameter and is specially made to hold round 5cl miniature bottles of alcohol. Please note the still comes in two parts - part one is the copper lid & coil and part two is the main body of the still & base

Comes with a small bag of decorative malted barley grains for decoration only & not for human consumption

Please note – the set shown in this listing is not the actual set you will receive as it is for our photographic purposes. However you will receive a plinth & still of the same sizing as listed, but the wood grain & the burning will vary to a degree

The wooden plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

For the after-care of this set we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. The underside of the 'barrel lid style' plinth has our inlaid company logo, and four felt adhesive pads to protect your furniture
